Departing Darwin @ 7.15am, we travel out to Fogg Dam to see what birdlife is around before we head to the Adelaide River for a Jumping Crocodile cruise. After viewing the formidable estaurine crocodiles, we continue on into the world heritage listed Kakadu National Park. We arrive in Jabiru in time for lunch and browse through the Bowalli Visitor Centre or maybe you might take an optional scenic flight over the roaring Kakadu waterfalls. After lunch we travel to Nourlangie Rock to view ancient Aboriginal rock art and gain an insight into local customs and beliefs. Travel back to Darwin arriving around 7.30pm. |

Day 1: Darwin to Katherine via Litchfield Depart Darwin and make our way to Katherine via the refreshing waterfalls of Litchfield and the opportunity for a swim. . Visit the Adelaide River War Cemetery and the historic mining town of Pine Creek as travel towards Katherine Overnight in Katherine Accommodation. (L) Day 2: Katherine to Kakadu Rise and shine early to get out to Nitmiluk National park for a morning cruise through the majestic Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge. Travelling back towards Darwin we we call in at Edith Falls for a swim before making our way back to Darwin around 6pm. (L) |
